Rope Braids
For this hairstyle, I decided to try it in two different ways. To start, I divided my hair down the middle. On one half of my hair, I practiced a normal rope braid. Divide the right half of my hair into two sections and twisting them away from my face while wrapping them together towards my face. It was a little challenging to get the hang of twisting my hair with my left hand and not letting the strand unravel. The second way was combining the rope braid with a french braid. Instead of splitting all of the hair on my left in half, I took two small pieces and began twisting them away from my face. Then, each time I wrapped the hair once towards my face, I would add another small amount of the rest of my hair on my left side. After all of the hair on the left side was incorporated into the braid, it was finished off the same as a regular rope braid. This version was slightly more difficult than a regular rope braid; however, I feel more likely to wear it because I prefer how it looks. The video I used to learn this style moved fast, so I had to pause it multiple times as I was attempting to re-create it. I also didn’t end up needing any product! Overall, both versions of this hairstyle were fairly easy to learn, but knowing how to french braid before trying likely made it easier for me to learn the second version.
